Q: photostream doesn´t actualize on macbook

photo stream does work between iphone and ipad.

on macbook photo stream has stopped syncing since june, 19th.

all attempts activatinc photo stream, closing photos and reactivating photo stream failed.

has anybody an idea ?

Hey silversurfer 1968,

I understand My Photo Stream was working fine on your MacBook until June 19th, then it stopped. Was there any other change at that point? Please see the appropriate section of this article.

iCloud settings are identical, switching photo stream on and off with closing an reopening the photos app didn´t help.

I´ve reinstalled osx and for now photo stream is being synced. i can see new photo stream-photos under "all photos".

otherwise i can´t see photo stream as an object in the left side bar.

Hi silver surfer 1968,

Glad you got it syncing again. And it is correct that you will see the photo stream photos under "all photos".

From Get help using My Photo Stream - Apple Support
If you enabled iCloud Photo Library, your My Photo Stream photos from your other devices can be found in the All Photos album.
You won't see it as a separate item in the side bar.

ok, i see, but before the non sync-problem started and afterwards there was a separate photo stream-item with the last element synced on june, 19th.

i hope the whole thing will get a bit more stable with the el capital update......

Are you able to see albums in the sidebar? The My Photo Stream should be just below Faces and above Last Import under Albums in the sidebar:
Do you see any of those other items?

I can see all items exept the photo stream item.

new synced photo-stream-photos appear under all photos.

when photo stream syncing didn´t work i could see the photo-stream item, very crazy....

Disable My Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Sharing in the System/iCloud preference pane

and in Photo's iCloud preference pane.

Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.
