Jul 15, 2015 7:27 AM in response to ChristianRoby VikingOSX,★HelpfulAre you using any Font management utility and possibly removed, or deactivated a key font that Pages requires? Pages v5 does not install fonts of its own, it depends on what the OS X 10.9.5 installation provides.
Additionally, your preference file for Pages v5.2 could be damaged. Copy and paste the following into the window from Finder > Go menu > Go to Folder…
~/Library/Containers
Locate the file, com.apple.iWork.Pages in the Finder window. The icon will be partially yellow. Right-click on this icon, and select Show Package Contents.
Now, in the Finder window, click on this succession of folders:
Data > Library > Preferences. Drag the file, com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist to your Desktop. Reboot. Try Pages v5.2 again.

Jul 15, 2015 7:37 AM in response to VikingOSXby ChristianRo,Dear Viking, thank you once again for your kind support. I am unable to right click on the icon once I locate the file. As once I do so the same window message pops up. The last time you opened Pages, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

Jul 15, 2015 8:38 AM in response to ChristianRoby VikingOSX,Make sure that you have quit out of Pages before you try to single-right-click on that com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist folder. Control-click/Right-click/two-finger tap are all Finder activities that work when Pages is not running, and present a secondary menu with Show Package Contents. A double-click on this package folder will launch Pages, and it will inform via a dialog that it cannot (truthfully) open the .plist file.
