Any malware infecting Yosemite due to Flash Player bug?

I have been trying to Install , Uninstall, you name it, to upgrade the Flash Player on my Mac Pro (15" mid 2010, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5). I have Yosemite 10.10.4 (14E46) installed. Each time I try to install, or uninstall, the program hangs and nothing happens. I end up having to Force Quit. I have been looking online for an answer but all I read is:Download install. Or do a clean Uninstall by downloading this Uninstall Flash Player Manager. No matter where I have downloaded them from, it still doesn't work. So now I'm wondering if my Mac is messed up with malware or something.

where are you downloading from?

flash should only be downloaded from Adobe.com, there are no exceptions to this rule under any circumstances.

are you installing it to an account that has administrative rights? If not boot into one that has administrative rights.

Repair your drive permissions.

If that does not work you can create another admin account and see if it installs from there to test.
