There was never an argument, just a reply, so what did I lose?
For starters, all credibility.
Csound1 is not required to own an Apple Watch to respond here. Only the hosts get to decide if a post is a violation of the terms of use.

Jul 25, 2015 3:17 PM in response to nevsfby nevsf,Final follow-up to my original post. Apple ended up replacing the broken watch with a new one, just arrived today. The guy helping me at the Apple Store said he'd never had someone come in with the back falling off, but he had seen it mentioned in an internal service bulletin.
So, if the back of your watch falls in, take it to an Apple Store or send it in. They know about the problem.
And that's the end of my story - unless the back falls off again :-)
(N.B. I still think gluing in a part that's under a fair amount of stress and heat is a strange decision, but I concede the point that I'm not a glue expert. Hope the number of us that had this problem stays small!)

when the reply does not corespond to the general question it is not needed and I did not know I was trying to be credible to anyone, i don't think Csound1 needs you for backup he can defend him or herself, so back off sidekick, I'm here to see how many more has had this problem, not to read these un related comments from you two. the space shuttle uses glue, who cares I did not buy a space shuttle I bought an apple watch and no wearable watch should have the back glued on.

Sending a product to Apple for service does not cost you anything...

Once again, you seem to have failed to grasp concept that you don't get to decide who posts in this thread.
I have a great deal of respect for Csound1 so, being called their sidekick is hardly an insult.

Thanks Meg, I appreciate that. And as for the man with the attitude? c'est la vie.

Aug 3, 2015 7:42 AM in response to nevsfby allygirl42802,-nevsf,
As unfortunate as it is, I am SO happy to have found your post about the back of your Apple Watch falling off. I went to charge mine last night and body of the watch just fell forward, leaving the magnetic battery on the charger, connected by the ribbon. I was absolutely shocked and cranky, seeing as I paid $649 for the Stainless Steel 38mm watch, but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I made a Genius Bar appointment for today and I was hoping that they would just replace it, now the Watch is available in Apple Stores and this is CLEARLY a hardware defect, but seeing as your post was just July 19th, maybe not. Thoughts?

Aug 3, 2015 4:00 PM in response to allygirl42802by nevsf,My store also had watches in stock, but not "service replacement" watches, so they had to send it in for replacement or repair. It took about 5 days, and the couldn't mail the unit directly to me - it had to go the the store which meant I had to make another trip. They ended up sending a replacement unit.
Overall I find Apple to have the best customer support, but the watch repair experience was only satisfactory.
Good luck to you!
Despite its flaws, I did miss not having the watch, so perhaps that speaks well of it. IMHO not Apple's best product, but also not its worst.

You are not the first and will certainly not be the last, this happened to me also, I went to pull the watch from the charger and the back stayed on the magnet revealing the inside of the watch and the strip that connects it, this will happen to everyone over time because the heat from the battery charging eventually breaks down the glue which holds the back onto the watch, I own the stainless steel version, so there is no particular version not effected, there is a video on YouTube about this problem, all apple will do is glue the back onto the watch again so in a couple of months this will happen again, this is a manufacturing defect, I mean who glues the back onto a watch anyway?
That is horrifying that the back isn't held in place by hardware. I hope that doesn't happen to me. For the $599 it cost plus Applecare, I am shocked.

How horrified are you that a Boeing 777 is not held together by hardware either? Or an Airbus 380?
