I have an original mouse that came with the computer version 10.6.8 and it's wired into the keyboard. Lately I've been having to click twice and sometimes more times for a page to open. The page rarely if ever opens on just one click. Also, it doesn't just happen opening pages. If I click on anything I have to do it more than once. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

System Preferences - Mouse. If that does not fix it, you likely have a very old Apple Mighty Mouse (has a button on the top). If that sounds like your model then first it may have some dirt built up on the ball, To clean it, move the mouse ball very vigoursly on a clean sheet of white paper for about 30-45 seconds. If it still doesn't work then reset the SMC (2-3 times please) per iMac SMC and PRAM reset
If you still have problems, it is time to replace that mouse.
