Jul 26, 2015 3:56 AM in response to robschneider.jrby mmmdonuts,I've been doing a little experimenting with this, so far nothing I've tried can recreate it until now...
Last night I turned off the MacBook with it charging, then turned off the the charger, so it shutdown at 100%.
However, this time, I left the MagicMouse on (I've been using the little switch to turn it off as the batteries drain so fast.
Here we are 12 hours later, the Macbook, while off, has gone from 100% to 91%, and the mouse batteries from 18% to 15%...
Is this the cause? Is the mouse still talking to the MacBook even when its off? Would that be hardware of software - I'm sure you should't have to turn off the mouse it should go into sleep mode.
Anyway I'll continue - MacBook now at 98% and mouse at 15%, I'm going to shutdown now and leave the mouse on again and see what happens. It's almost midday.

Jul 28, 2015 6:58 AM in response to mmmdonutsby justwonderingaboutmacs,The cause of this is most probably your macbook staying connected to wifi. Try to disable wifi overnight and you will see a significantly lower drain.
Now I do not know of a way to disable this "feature"
Mind you, I am not talking about power nap.

Sep 13, 2015 7:36 AM in response to justwonderingaboutmacsby mmmdonuts,I've been doing some experimenting with this. Basically, if I shutdown the MacBook, turn off the power adapter at the plug, but leave it plugged in, it is draining the battery. Same happens for sleep. The battery drains fully within three days.
If I shutdown and just pull the adapter out it is fine. Therefore the battery drains through the power adapter when it is turned off. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this an Apple "feature"? Or is my MacBook faulty in someway? Seems to work ok otherwise, battery on it's own lasts long enough, and it's only a minor inconvenience to have to unplug it every time I sleep it or turn it off. How do I report this to Apple?
Many thanks
