MainStage with MalletKAT question

Anyone here have MainStage/MalletKAT experience? Helping a friend for Seussical. We have a pedal plugged in to Foot Controller 1 and set to next patch in MS. Sometimes it advances one patch, sometimes two, sometimes four. It is quite maddening.

Thanks!

Mainstage has a MIDI message monitor built in. Use this to check, if the controller sends multiple events, which can happen, if the foot switch has bouncing contacts. While this never affects sustain operation of a piano, a contact bounce can be an issue, if used as a switch for patch changes.

Unfortunately, this can't be fixed with Scripter, you need to treat the pedal with something like Caig DeOxit or similar.

Hope this helps!
