Watch band won't lock onto watch

My stainless steel bracelet will not lock onto the watch on one side. I tried reversing the two connections to the watch and the same end that wouldn't lock onto the bottom side of the watch will now not lock onto the top side of the watch so the problem is with the band, not the watch. Is there a fix?
