I have an iPhone 4s running ios 8.4. When I received it the previous owner had deleted his account and I connected it with my itunes and icloud.
Tonight I run a restore iphone from itunes, but once the process is complete and I restart the phone, it asks me to activate the iphone...with the old owner account!!!
Any idea of what caused this problem? and what can I do at this point if we exclude the possibility of contacting the old owner?

What caused the problem is the previous owner did NOT delete his account. You need to contact the previous owner and have him follow these instructions: What to do before selling or giving away your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Until this happens the phone will not be usable.

Although I still don't get how is it possible I had my account on the iPhone without the previous owner deleting its own...is it a bug or what?
The thing does even make less sense when I think that I had to switch off my Find my iPhone (so I had to login with my account) to restore it.....and now it's telling me the someone else has it active. Thank you for the mess Apple...
