what is this this box appearing on my screen?

This weird box started appearing on my iPod 5 and it's not letting me click on anything or let my unlock my iPod. I tried turning it off and on but that didn't work. How do I get rid of it?

I think that you have the accessibility VoiceOver feature turned on.

Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see the following for how to turn off via iTunes:

Is Void Over turned off in the Accessibility settings?

If not then you can toggle it by triple clocking the Hone button which can be inadvertently done.

If still problem

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
