Q: iTunes Library Erased after updating to iTunes

After updating to iTunes 12.1 on my 15" Macbook Pro with Retina Display, my iTunes Library was erased after updating to iTunes 12.1. I am unable to search for the .itl file extensions on my SSD card and the .itl folder is missing from the iTunes folder. Are there any suggestions on retrieving and restore this version of my library? And would the retrieved version of the library be able to sync with my iPhone?

Also, I updated iTunes to 12.2 but that has not seemed to restore the lost library.

OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), iTunes 12.1 and iTunes 12.2

You are looking for the "iTunes Library.itl" file (not folder) in your iTunes folder.

    Please answer theses questions:

    Is the .xml version there?

Have you looked in the "previous iTunes libraries" folder for a .itl date stamped with the date you did the update?

First determine if the media files are still present in the iTunes > Media folder. If they are not you will have to restore them from the backup you of course made of your computer before installing new software, or from their original sources.  If they are still there then try one of the following methods to rebuild the database which tells iTunes what media you have in your collection and where it is.
