my iphone 6 lost LTE and 3G on iOS 8.4, catches only EDGE; no problems with mobile operator or settings. rebooted and made a reset of network several times, nothing helps. please advise what to do.

I even tried restore iphone from iTunes, but the problem remained. please advise what to do 😟
Where are you from? Looks like a Georgian name. I live in Georgia (on Magti) with my iPhone 6 and have the exact same issue. I cannot even get 2G (EDGE). I have restored, restarted, set up as a new phone, and various other things with no help.

and have Magti as well. however when I put my sim card in another iphone, it catches LTE while putting another sim in my phone does not help. this way logically it should not be sim-related problem, however I'm still not quite sure. have you tried switching to Geocell?
It may be that your phone needs a carrier settings update. Go to Settings/General/About and tap on the carrier name. If an update is available you should be prompted to install it. If there is none, ask the carrier if they have one planned.
checked with carrier twice, they insist no problem appears on their side and there are no updates to install. as I wrote above my sim card works perfectly in another iphone.
I finally went to Magti, yesterday. The lady there restarted the phone and contacted tech support. She looked at the settings and couldn't find out the issue.
Then, she turned off the phone for 5 minutes. When she turned it back on, it still wasn't connecting to mobile internet. She turned off the phone again and was ready to put her SIM card in my phone to see if that would work (needing a new SIM) and before she even pulled my card out, it showed that LTE was working. So, maybe the trick is to make sure you have LTE enabled and turn off the phone (not just restarting). Try that a couple times to see if it syncs up.
One other issue was that it seems that I no longer had the ability to use the phone as a personal hotspot. I just put "magticom.ge" in the APN for the personal hotspot field under cellular data. Then the personal hotspot field showed up on the main settings page, so I now have it turned on and ready for use.

Sorry this didn't help. I was about to lose hope until I took it directly to the Magti office. When I asked what she did to make it work, she said she didn't know. Maybe just try turning off cellular data, then turn off the phone for a while. Turn the phone back on, then turn on LTE and turn off the phone again. When you turn it on, it may work. All the best. I sincerely hope you can get it working. I know it frustrated me for a long time. I think the key is coming from a completely powered-down phone. Restarting and resetting some of the settings just doesn't seem to help.
