Canon EOS 700d

I have bought a new Macbook Pro with retina display, which has Photos instead of iPhoto. All my old photos from my old Macbook have been imported into the new Macbook Pro, however photos I have taken using my Canon EOS 700 do not show up - they are 'greyed out'. Other photos taken using my Panasonic camera, iPhone or Canon Ixus are fine. The same Canon EOS 700 photos on my old laptop display with no problem in iPhoto. What is going on??

My Macbook Pro is running OS X Yosemite vsn. 10.10.4. Any ideas?

Do you know what the file name of one of the problem photos in the library is? If so download and run Find Any File to search for the file name. If the file is present in the Masters folder douible click on the Masters folder to open, select the file and open with Preview to see if you can.

User uploaded file

You can Option-drag it from the search results window to the Desktop to get a copy of it on the Desktop and open it there with Preview. That will tell you if the file is good and the library is the culprit or not.

FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.
