Does Apple Music iCloud Music (not iTunes Match) consume space on iCloud or is it like Match where it does not?

I have a 20Gb plan for iCloud for backups, etc. from my iDevices. I'm also a subscriber of Apple Music which includes ICloud Music. I have 23Gb of music (not purchased on iTunes that is DRM free and meets all the qualifications to be uploaded). Is this music stored in the same 20Gb of storage space that I have subscribed to or is this a separate storage space?
