Some of my photos, mostly those that must be rotated are becoming squashed. I'm attaching one, but if my wife sees how it made her look, I'll be dead meat.
This only seems to happen with rotated photos. I have tried going into EDIT and reverting, but no luck.

Have you tried repairing the library yet.
Did a repair - thanks for the suggestion. But, no difference.
What happens if you revert to the original?

You might also try exporting them as an unmodified version and re-importing
I had tried that before, but did it again. No luck. It happens with photos that need to be rotated, but even without the rotation they are still squashed.
That suggests to me that the originals have a problem then. Best resizing them using edit, pretty time consuming I guess but if edit is all that you have, best go for it I say.
Are these migrated from IPhoto or new photos imported from a camera?
If form iPhoto launch it and see what they look like there
If from a camera use Image Capture to download to disk and look at them with Preview to verify they are good - then import into Photos and report
