can i put a 6mb rage 128 pro from a tangerine trayloading iMac g3 in to a iMac G3 bondi blue
No. The GPUs are not user-replaceable.
well on this I fix it it says you can change the vram https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iMac+G3+Model+M4984+Video+Ram+Replacement/1565
if this is true where can I get the vram
Firstly, that is only to upgrade the amount of VRAM, not to replace the GPU/CPU. Since you've found an answer, why did you post this question? It has nothing to do with replacing VRAM.
Im sorry i meant vram what I was wondering is where I could get the vram thanks
Like I want to upagrade the vram on a bondi blue
I believe the article at iFixIt provided that information. I any event you need to contact them for that information.
The original iMacs used the same 144-pin, 4 MB SGRAM SO-DIMM, that was also an optional upgrade for the beige G3 desktop, AIO, and mini-tower series. If you check Mac memory dealers like this one, it may still be available. Otherwise, you could check ebay.
After checking a couple of the usual Mac memory dealers, it appears that the 4 MB SGRAM SO-DIMM card is no longer carried by them. A lack of demand for such an old part is undoubtedly the reason. Just for the purpose of identification, here's an ebay listing for it, but you should be able to find it for less.
could I put 8mbs of vram in and make it have 10 mbs of vram in total because I found a 8 mb Vram chip
See my reply in your new Topic regarding this.
