Q: My laptop was stolen and now trying to sync my phone to new computer but I don't want to lose all my old music! Help!

How can I sync my iphone to my new computer without losing all existing music on the phone? My last laptop was stolen so I don't have access to the original music I had on it but it is also still synced with my phone so I can't select 'manually manage music' in the options menu as it keep telling me if I sync with the new computer it will erase the iphone anyway. I also don't have the original CDs anymore as I lost them while moving! This is ten years of music please help!

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.4

Restore them from the backup of your laptop.

Any songs purchased from iTunes can be re-downloaded using the same

AppleID as originally used to download.

Assuming that your backup copy of your computer was not stolen as well, then just use your backup copy to put everything back.

The iPhone is not a storage device.  You may be able to purchase a 3rd party program to retrieve the music ( not supported by Apple)
