Q: Not recieving requested emails.

I attempted to change my apple id passcode by going to the "manage your apple id" page.  The site asked me to enter the correct answers to 2 security questions which I didn't remember the answers to.  I selected the option in which instructions for changing the security questions are sent to your email address but I never received the emails.  I tried again a week later and the result was still same.  However when I joined apple support community, an email was promptly sent and I received it just fine.  I have tried checking my spam/trash folders and the emails were not to be found.  I'm really getting frustrated because my current passcode was created by my parents when I got my first apple device.  It would be nice to have a private password.   Any offered help is appreciated.
