about an year ago I received all paper work and envelope to replace my 1st gen ipod which I still use and which is really gets hot while working and charging btw, but I lost everything when we were moving and I forgot about it, trying to re submit but system says replacing in process.... what should I do? If I go to apple store will they help to replace it or that is just a waste of time?

actually no... it did not solve my problem.... I stayed on the phone for about 30 minutes, went through 3 guys and decided no to continue, because Apple support team don't know a **** about supporting their products
And during this time on the phone when did you ask for a supervisor and did you specifically tell them it was for the 1st Generation Nano issue?
This time call and ask to be transferred to Customer Service. Or you can make a Genius Bar appointment and go to the Apple Store.
