Q: can't find itunes playlist on my hardrive

I am trying to transfer an itunes playlist to my Android device but I can't find the playlist in my itunes folders on my hardrive.  I don't want to put all of my itunes music onto my phone.  I also want to know about this because my computer is getting old and every time I try to transfer my music from itunes to a new computer it seems like things go missing (llike my old playlists).  Any information about how to find and transfer playlists whether to an android device or a new windows computer would be much appreciated.

Windows 7, Dell Inspiron

Playlists don't exist as separate items - they are all defined within iTunes' database.  To copy the songs that make up a specific playlist, just drag and drop them from iTunes to any open Windows Explorer window.  You can also export the playlist definition (select playlist, then File > Library > Export Playlist ...) though note that this just lists the songs, and doesn't include the songs (media files) themselves.

To transfer playlists to another computer, you need to replicate the entire iTunes library structure (database, media files, artwork, etc...).  See How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support.
