my phone says it has no gb available when y only used 5gb from 16gb and can use my phone for pictures it logs me out from all my apps and can send txt with pictures or videos to no one

That's really poor advice. Installing an OS update on a device that has data corruption is not a good idea.
Qoki, I suggest you try resetting the device, and if that fails, restore it and setup as new device.

Also if there is no space left, then there is no way to install an update. As it needs at least some space install.
So I agree with Templeton, that is very poor advice.
I would start by finding out what is taking up the space: Settings->General->Usage->Manage Storage
