If the "flights climbed" function in Health is based on changes in atmospheric pressure, can iPhone distinguish between elevators and stairs?

I believe it also takes into account the data from the motion co-processor. So, unless you march in place while on the elevator, it shouldn't read that as stairs.
Interesting. So when I run up the escalator from the depths of the Oedo Subway in downtown Tokyo, maybe I get credit for that.
