Will ipod touch 5 cases fit with ipod touch 6?

I think so. The measurements are the same. I bought a blue 128gb. Looking forward to the extra storage capacity.

I hope someone will chime in that has actually tried a 5th gen. case though.

Yes. The 5G case will have the hole for the strap that can be installed on the 5G iPod. The 6G does not have the strap strap option

So yes, cases should fit. They're exactly the same size. I think the only difference is that I don't recall seeing the 'apple loop' mentioned for the 6, but I may have just missed it. So there may be a hole in your 5th gen cases that there's no need to be for the 6th gen cases. Even in photos of the 6th gen I don't see the little button for the loop. And there's no mention of it as being in the box.

The images of the 6G do not show the strap attachment on the iPod nor does the description list the strap it in the box
