I am entering college soon and want to get a new computer! which one should I buy. I am going to be a graphic designer therefore I need a good computer that is fast and with a lot of memory

Then why not buy one that is fast and has lots of memory installed? Sounds simple enough. All the laptop specs are on Apple's Online Store site where you can compare them.

MacBook Air is faster. Not nearly as fast as a MacBook Pro. If speed is important to you, then don't choose on the basis of weight. Heavier is going to be faster. Bigger has more room for memory.
