Hello,
I wonder if somebody could advise me on how to change the size of the Force Quit Application window. Presently the screen fills the entire window and whilst this is not earth shattering it is a tad annoying.
I've read an article about deleting plist files from the library in preferences but that doesn't seem to be applicable on Yosemite.
Now be gentle I am rather new to mac so please, any help in simpleton language that I can understand..

First check the settings by opening Accessibility > mouse and trackpad , click on trackpad options , select the boxes of scrolling with inertia and enable dragging with three finger drag and click on ok .
Then follow the step in the article : macOS Sierra: Manage windows on the desktop
Manually resize a window: Drag the window’s edge (top, bottom, or sides). Or double-click an edge to expand that side of the window.
As shown in the screen shot with red arrow .
This method is for expanding , to reduce the size please take cursor on top corner and drag the corner towards inside direction on the desktop , same way you can reduce the rectangular window , from top , bottom or side ways of the rectangular window.
grab any portion of the window you can and hold down OPTION+SHIFT keys and drag, which will resize the window in any direction
Click the green button at top left of the window.
Try to Press Command + Option + Esc and click on the green button at the top left corner (looks like "+") in order to change the size of this window.
Not working for me. Green button just enlarges window to full size - does not return to original size. Nor can I manually resize...
Try holding down the option/alt key while clicking the green button.
Doesn't work either....
