How can I download the Uber app on my I-phone 4?

Same way you download any other app.

Open itunes, find app, download app.

If you are having trouble with this, then explain that trouble.

You shouldn't have any trouble just downloading from the App Store. I just checked and it requires iOS 7 or above, and the iPhone 4 will support iOS 7.1.2.

Okay, guess that answers it. However, I'm kind of curious as to why you said it wasn't working, and how it seemed to work all of a sudden. Was this on the device itself, or on the computer in iTunes?

hello, i am a rep for T Mobile...i am trying to download Uber on an iPhone 4 with 7.1.2 installed...each time we attempt to download the Uber app though the phone itself then the phone acts like it is downloading after we type in the password...then never downloads...any ideas?

As of today, it doesn't work. The app store says that it requires IOS 8.0, and the last version of IOS on the iPhone 4 is 7.1.2. Seems like kind of a bad design decision for Uber.

Uber should make the previous version available as well. Once you install the update (which now doesn't work on the iPhone 4), there doesn't seem to be a way to roll back to the previous version.

You can try this, Install an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support for a compatible version, but for the previous poster, you should not have been able to update the app if you did not have iOS 8 on the device.

Thanks ChrisJ4203 - the app updated in my iTunes library but was removed from my iPhone. Thanks for the tip of going to the app store on the device - it did allow me to download a compatible version, so problem seems to be solved. 🙂

Glad you were able to take care of things. I would watch allowing things to update in the iTunes library, and only update on your device. The library is void of any information one the devices really connected to it and just update to the latest and greatest. Take care and enjoy.

Hi Amp312. If you download it from your IPHONE 4@ the APP store it will ask you if you want to download the older version. I went to my MAC first, but the phone will do it for you
