Q: How can I download the Uber app on my I-phone 4?

Hi Amp312. If you download it from your IPHONE 4@ the APP store it will ask you if you want to download the older version. I  went to my MAC first, but  the phone will do it for you

Apple put a stop to the solution offered; you are no longer allowed to load older versions. You no get a message "This application requires iOS 8.0 or later." and there's no other option.  I can't get _any_ app to offer be a older version anymore.

I guess they really want to make your device obsolete ...

If you do not get the prompt for the older version, that means that it is no longer available. That has nothing to do with Apple, it is the responsibility of the app developer. You need to let Uber know that you are disappointed in the fact that you cannot install their app on a phone that was released in 2010. Seven years in technology is forever, it would be considered outdated by most anyone.

Yes it is the APP developer, but I have an iPhone 4 and downloaded the app last week, so I know it works . They specifically asked if i wanted an older version
