`Apple Music` skips tracks.

After updating iTunes, Apple Music (apple's new streaming service) skips most tracks. In this screen-record video (link below), all tracks are skipped on this album, but at times, there are a couple to a few tracks that work fine. I use Apple Music in Canada. I am using Apple Music during the 3 month trial period. Someone else in my household is Apple Music too. We are each using individual trials under separate accounts, not the family Apple Music pack. They are experiencing the same issue.

I live in Canada using iTunes version 12.1.16 on a MacBook Pro.

I'm having the same problem also (in Australia), also noticed it happening while playing an apple music playlist on many songs through my iPhone as well as iTunes doing it. I've signed out, quit, restarted, signed back in a number of times but keeps on skipping tracks in the same way others have mentioned in this thread. Cancelling Apple Music now and will keep an eye out for if it ever gets resolved.

Same here in Mexico yesterday iTunes with Apple Music started skiping tracks randomly and sometimes it only plays a few seconds of a song, the streaming progress bar load just a few seconds and stops, when the play marker reaches the loaded stream it skips to another track. I tried signing out and in again. My iPhone with apple music is working fine.

Same here, iPhone skips constantly - ever since I signed up to the apple music family subscription, usually skips around 3.20 into the track, but the screen still displays the track even though it's the following one playing, and when you press skip it shows the following track (currently playing) at around 15 seconds in...

Far from a smartphone, my iPods never did this

Hey guys I had the same problem until today , i don't know what the reason was for this bug however last night I read this thread and now i decided to try any suggested solution on the webs to fixing actual itunes , because this is not only an apple music bug . I am currently running OSX El Captain so here's how it got fixed for me at least , you have to make sure that your itunes is up to date which i am sure most of you tried already ( if not just open itunes go to the bar wave your mouse over iTunes and select the "check for updates" option , this will redirect you to appstore and show you the available updates ) further you have to open iTunes and turn your wi-fi off ( i know this sounds silly just try it ) then sign out from itunes ( you can do this by going to "account" and selecting "sign out" make sure your wi-fi is off ) then quit itunes , relaunch it and sign back into your account . This solved the problem for me but if none of these didn't work for you here's a link with more solutions http://macreports.com/os-x-el-capitan-itunes-not-working-fix/ .

I hope this helped you guys 😉

So I have been struggling with this problem ever since Apple Music was released and tried all of the suggestions over the years. I was having the problem on all devices (AppleTV, Mac, iPhone, iPad) but *only* on my home WiFi. Only one "fix" worked permanently. Changing my wireless router's DNS to a Google DNS (8.8.8.8) only worked for a few weeks. But after I changed the DNS to an OpenDNS server (208.67.220.220), I have not had the problem so far in 6 months. I suggest trying to change your DNS to point to one of the many widely used public servers, but not necessarily Google's. Here's a list of options to try: Free and Public DNS Server List (June 2017). After changing your DNS you might still need to do an iTunes or device flush/reboot to clear bad cache entries, as mentioned in other comments. Good luck.

For me (at least so far) logging out from my account and then back in seems to have fixed this. Though now iTunes is going through the uploading music thing all over again.

Quite a few odd things going on after re-logging in too - 2 factor code showed up on the Mac but not my iPad or phone, then the Apple site said that there was a problem with logging me in (unauthorised or something!). I got there eventually though.

Thanks, this fixed for me. It seems that the itunes update logged me out of my Apple ID somehow, so my Apple Music subscription was not registering as current. I knew it must have something to do with this because it was skipping to songs that were part of my original iTunes library (i.e., songs that I had ripped from CD or purchased from iTunes, and skipping past "apple music" songs).

`Apple Music` skips tracks.
