Old purchases on iPod touch that I cannot synch back to my iMac

I apparently have store purchase on my old iPod touch iOS 5.1.1 that cannot be synched back to my iMac and authorized. It keeps asking me for an ancient apple ID that I have no password for. My current apple ID and password does not work to do the synching and authorizing. The email address that comes up is wellwin@mac.com. I may have had that email address long ago but do not have the password for it. This is apparently linked to the items on my iPod touch that I keep getting asked to synch back to my iMac. I am not even sure what precise music in on the iPod touch that needs to be copied back to my iMac..

Never create more than one AppleID or you will forever have to remember all your old logins. You can (and should), however, update e-mail addresses.
