Two Step Verification in Messages app

Hi all,

I've recently reinstalled Yosemite, and I can't sign into any of the apps that use my Apple ID as they don't allow me to enter any codes after signing in.

It constantly states error description unavailable. then rejects my password.

App Store, Messages, iTunes & FaceTime all the same error.

All the login and passcode appear on my iPhone & iPad, but non of the above apps let me enter 6 digit codes.
