Apple Watch

Q: Apple Watch - Apple pay query

I have the Sport Apple Watch, but only an iPhone 5C - can this combination work with Apple pay - or must I have an iPhone 6/6+ ?

    Thanks.  After looking at Apple's instructions I realised why I could not set up Apple pay.  My "Country" is set, on both phone and Watch, to Gibraltar, in order to force the Activity and Health apps. to show distances in kilometers, (there is no other way to do this)

     

    As soon as I change Country back to UK then only does "Passbook" on the phone become "Passbook and Apple Pay"

     

    So I can either have all my health distance in kilometers, or the ability to use Apple Pay, but not both.
