As is, 10.6.8. If you install more RAM in the computer, 10.7.5.

    1. Click here, install the DVD, and run Software Update.

    2. After upgrading the RAM, go to the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7. Your computer needs to have 2GB and should have 4GB installed before doing this.

Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC software such as Microsoft Office 2004. If you upgrade the OS, back up the computer first.

So if I planned on only upgrading to 10.6.8, I wouldn't need to first upgrade to 10.5? I could just install the DVD and complete the upgrade to 10.6?
