Ipad stuck downloading a tv show - can not pause or stop it

Hi - I recently got my first iPad Air 2. I am having problems with a tv show that is downloading from iTunes. For some reason it was taking forever. But unlike other downloads it will not let me pause it in order to download other shows or books more quickly. I accessed my account from my laptop and hid the video. So now it doesn't show on my list of purchased shows but it is still downloading slowly. How do I pause or delete this download?
