iTunes freezes when I use the "edit playlist" feature

Hello,


I am using the latest iTunes update as of July 18, 2015.


Every time I try to edit a playlist and add songs to it, iTunes freezes and will not respond. I am then forced to end task program and restart it. Then it happens again. I am wondering if anyone has a fix for it; I have already tried uninstalling and re-installing the program. I'm not sure, maybe it is just a bug with the new update.


Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!


EDIT: This also happens when I am scrolling down my artists list with the directional keys.
