The furthest I can get is when I try to start from disk (Option C).
Have you tried booting from the CD by just holding down the "c" key?

Jul 18, 2015 1:44 PM in response to russfrompensacolaby russfrompensacola,When I do that, I get the arrow things. According to the manual, I'm supposed to click the right pointing arrow. When I do that it's supposed to start from the CD drive. It doesn't. Nothing happens.

- MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)

- Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)

Hard drive failure.
I have OS 10.6.4. And it's the CD that came with the machine
Then you don't have a G4, which cannot run Snow Leopard 10.6.8 as this only runs on an Intel based Mac.
