iOS 8.4 downgrade to 7.1.2

I updated my iPod Touch a couple of days ago to iOS 8.4… Now, it's giving a lot of problems with the Audio System in my car. I would like to downgrade my iPod to iOS 7.1.2 (same I had before), but Apple is not allowing this because it doesn't support it anymore. Any ideas how to deal with this?

Hi Niel! I have already contacted Audi, they have no clue about this problem, but I have seen in different chats that iOS 8.4 gives several problems with the MMI Car Audio System. In my case, radio crashes down without explanation, phone calls (via bluetooth) crashes down, connection to Media (iPod) is lost, radio system keypad doesn't work, etc… And everything not always, just allegory...

Sometimes this works

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- **** car system

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem they you will have to wait for either an iOS update or firmware update for the car system
