How do I download all songs from my iTunes Match to an external hard disk?

Hi there, my hp laptop that stores all of my music has recently died. Fortunately all of the music is in the cloud via iTunes Match.

Via my MacBook, I want to download all of the music in one go.

However, seeing as I don't have enough capacity on my MacBook, I'll need to download to a remote hard drive.

Is this possible? I'd love to know how.

Many thanks

HI,

You can download music to an external hard drive. Attach HD, then hold option key whilst opening iTunes. You will get option to create new library or open an existing library. Select create new library and you will now see a blank iTunes library. Go to preferences > general preferences and make sure that iCloud music library is checked. Once set up you will now see all music you have in the cloud. You will now be able to download.

To revert to your original library, close iTunes and the hold option key whilst opening iTunes and select open existing library. You use this command each time you swap between libraries.
