In addition to backing up while under 8.4, you would've also needed to archive that backup immediately as well so it's not overwritten by the backup that new iOS will automatically make after updating. It's all explained here, although I do realize it's too late in your case:

There is no backup, you never made one, how can you restore something that was never there in the first place?

Jul 18, 2015 6:44 PM in response to funfromipohby SergZak,You can quite easily "go back" to iOS 8.4 as outlined in the beta guide. That's not an issue. Your issue seems to be that that you want to go back to 8.4 and restore from an 8.4 backup. Except for the fact that you have no 8.4 backup. There's nothing that can be done in this regard. AFAIK, there's no third party software that will allow you to use a newer iOS version backup with an older iOS version device.
If you really want iOS 8.4 back, what you can do is revert back to 8.4 (of course without a backup) and setup the device as a new device.
So your options are:
1. Stay at iOS 9 beta, keeping your data and settings intact
2. Revert back to iOS 8.4 and setup the device as new
I see no other options for you.
