I am unable to find the app to login and control the airport express for a macbook pro running Yosemite x 10.10? Everything I find is the app for iOS.

Open the AirPort Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities then click the AirPort Express icon.
uh...what is the "HD" part? never mind- found it- thanks. Recent convert from Windows for 20 years so this layout is still a little strange. Thanks!
On the launch pad, (clicking the icon that looks like a rocket:
you can start typing "airport" and it will search your apps for you.
