Q: Macbook Pro 13" Retina late 2013 unexpected restarts, what is the reason

When I make an update in the Appstore, the display goes in sleep mode the mac restarts by itself.

That didn`t happen about 2 month before.

Check to see if you are getting kernel panics.  If so, download and post it.

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201753

If not, reset the SMC and NVRAM:

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063

    Then try a safe boot:

    Any change?

    Ciao.

When the display goes in sleep mode and I wake him up, all is fine now.

But when I try to make an iTunes update in the Appstore he restarts and didn`finish the update.

There is no Panic.log but a file like this in the Diagnostics Report Folder:

    update_dyld_shared_cache_2015-07-19-150027_Jorgs-MacBook-Pro.crash

Please read this whole message before doing anything.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.

Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.

The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.

Test while in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Hi, try to install the app in safe mode (iTunes 12.12.1). And it works.

Shut down and start normal. Because there were no more updates I tried to install Garage Band and iMovie and it works too.

But Silverlight didn`t work now in Safari.

Silverlight didn`t work now in Safari.

That's an unrelated issue. It seems that the original problem is solved. If you can't find an answer by searching the site, start your own thread to address this other problem, or better yet, go to the Microsoft or Netflix website for help.
