It seems unlikely that an emoji would show in the recents list if it hadn't been used. Of course, if you typed it, then deleted it, I suspect that would count as being used. Of course, I can't say I've ever checked this as it doesn't seem as if it's that important. The recents list is just there so you can access frequently used ones quickly.

TThank you , it's a strange thing to ask but basically my bofriend has a habit of cyber cheating on me , the first time I found out was when i was pregnant and I stuck with him for that reason and I don't actually snoop in his phone he gave it to me to place an on line order ! They certainly have not been used for me . And he has only had the phone for 2 weeks . wheb I asked him he swears blind that he has not used them but from

my experience you have to click on to them and the hearts are not so easy to click on . Thanks for your reply I appriciate

My point was that, he could have clicked on them (in a message to you), then deleted them. This would have resulted in a message to you without the emoji but the emoji would still show in recents.

You didn't ask but, I'm going to give you some advice based on personal experience anyway. You will make yourself crazy if you look for evidence of cheating in things like the emoji recents list. You should confront your partner directly rather than looking for "evidence". If you can't talk to each other, you've got big problems whether or not anyone is cheating. (If you are concerned that he will become violent, that's a bigger issue.)

Best of luck.
