I'm trying to set up an Apple ID under Family Sharing for child on new-to-him iPod touch. Apple has a great page w/instructions, but under Step 1 (Go to Settings > iCloud > Family, and tap "Create an Apple ID for a child."), the "Family" option isn't there. Ideas?

You need to set up the child's ID in the iCloud Settings where the Family Sharing Organizer is already signed on. So, if you are the Organizer, and you are signed onto iCloud on your, say, iPhone, go to Settings>iCloud>Family there, and at the bottom you will see the option to Create an Apple ID for a Child.

I appreciate your input. It worked this time. The crazy thing is that that is exactly where I started on my Mac but received the message that the device couldn't be given that ID. I went back in just now and did the exact thing I had done before and somehow it worked out. Here's to persevering!
