Does a SanDisk extreme 32gb memory card fit into a 2015 Macbook pro?

I've just bought a San Disk Extreme 32gb SDHC memory card and wanted to be able to load it directly into the MacBook pro which i was told by the apple assistant in the store that i would be able to do.

Unfortunately when i try inserting the memory stick it doesn't seem to fit comfortably into the slot and i don't want to force it.

Does anyone have any experience of using this card in the latest MacBook pro (with card reader on right side)?

I don't have that specific card (do have a PNY card plus several different brands for the camera) but SDHC cards are standardized and it should slide right in. It does take a little shove but a lot of force isn't required. My MBP is the current mid 2015 model.

Thank you. I realised what i was doing wrong ... trying to get the card to go in all the way! d'oh. It is happy to sit in half way.

Once you put the SD card in fully and the Mac doesn't recognise it, pull the sd card back slightly and suddenly, the Mac sees it. Genius and so simple. Hope this helps.
