M Audio DUO usb mic-preamp does not record in Logic

I have set up a little studio and am discovering Logic Pro.

Everything went great so far except for recording via my usb mic-pre-amp. Logic recognised my 'M-Audio Professional USB Mic Preamp with S/PDIF' as 'USB AudioSport Duo', but does not record any sound (he does with the build-in mic from the iMac). It is listed as input device for audio in the preferences.

I tested in Adobe Audition and Audacity where recording via the usb preamp works just fine, so the preamp is definitely working.

Any steps I can take to fix this issue?

Thank you for your insights,

Adam

How do you know Logic "recognised" it? Have you actually selected it as the input device in Logic Pro>Preferences>Audio?

Your system sound settings are not relevant to Logic, only what is selected in the above preference window is what counts.

After that, create a mono audio track, or set your stereo audio track to mono and choose the correct (in your case the only available) input.

(almost all other USB mics are mono, and so you will only see 1 input available on a mono track if the USB mic is selected as input device in Logic. Since I don't have any mono devices I can't test what happens with that on a stereo track, but my guess would be that there would be no input available on a stereo track)
