Question

iMovie crashes when transitions are added

Hi,

Why does iMovie crash when I am adding transitions?

Also, it seems I can no longer simply drag the transition to movie clips. What's going on???

do you use an external harddrive to store your project?
how much free diskspace is available on internal drive?

Hi,

I am having exactly the same problem. I have just purchased an intel imac 17". Sure enough, when I try and add transitions in imovie it just crashes and closes the programme.

Can anyone help with this problem?

I am having the same problem too. I think I have plenty of free hard disk space >40gB. This didn't happen in earlier versions.

Also the preview of the transition appears very pixilated - you can't see what the transition is supposed to be.

Check to be sure the disk format is what iMovie requires.

Also rule out third-party iMovie plug-ins and QuickTime add-ons that might be causing trouble.
