MD318LL/A RAM Compatibility

Hi, I am considering to upgrade memory for MBP Late 2011 (MD318LL/A Processor: Intel Core i7 - 2675QM) with 16 GB ( 8GB x 2 ) 1333MHZ PC3-10666 CMSA16GX3M2A1333C9. Since official page of Intel has only mentioned it supports DDR3 1066/1333 MHZ, I am left with a confusion on whether RAM of model PC3-10666 is compatible or is it the case only PC3-10600 is compatible. It would be much helpful to me if someone would kindly clarify this.

( NB: I do not know what PC3-xxxxx denote )

Thanks in advance!

@mario49: Thanks for the information.

Although Apple has officially announced that this model only supports 8 GB in total, third-parties have found that this model supports up to 16GB. Could you /someone please confirm whether such information is true and similar to what Apple has officially declared, do you have information on whether my MBP model 15" Late 2011 i7 2.2Ghz supports PC3-10666. As I mentioned earlier I do not understand what PC3-10666/10600 means.

Since Apple either underestimates or doesn't want to publish its true capabilities for various other reasons, it becomes difficult to know it full capabilities to upgrade. It would be grateful to you/those who could advise me on this.

Thanks in advance.
