My iphone 6 is all kinds of not working due to a false high temperature warning. did a full restore in recovery mode using itunes and it still happens. The handset is not even warm :-/ I cant get as far as restoring from icloud either. Anyone have an easy fix or is it a trip to the shiny shiny Apple store?!?!

You should take it to the apple store. There may be something overheating inside that is triggering those warnings. If its so frequently that you can't even reform a restore, something is probably in need of a repair.

If you've already done a factory reset and it's still happening, it sounds like a hardware issue. I would recommend taking it to an Apple Service Center for them to take a look at it.
Yeah. Thats what i will do. The thing doesn't even get slightly warm! It ***** :-(
