I recently had to change my apple id and now it says none of my games and music are valid and they want me to re purchase the material any suggestions?

Where is it saying that they aren't 'valid', and what is the exact text of the message ? All content that you download from the iTunes stores are tied to the account that downloaded them, only that account can authorise them on a computer's iTunes, potentially redownload them, and download updates to them - if you want to redownload them on a different account then you will be charged to do so
