Jul 21, 2015 9:00 AM in response to LioEPDby jason269,Hello, LioEPD.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that iTunes is unresponsive on your Windows 7 system after the update. Since you have already uninstalled and reinstalled with no resolution, try going through the remainder of the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows

Jul 21, 2015 10:40 AM in response to LioEPDby lima82,There have been a lot of issues with Win 7 and ITunes lately. If you are trying to sync an Ipod classic, it freezes as well. I don't know if there are any fixes in the works or if Windows 10 will resolve this.

Jul 21, 2015 4:06 PM in response to LioEPDby turingtest2,For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.
Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
If the issue persists and you have a 64-bit system try the for older video cards version which is a 64-bit installer for mostly 32-bit code, similar to all 64-bit versions of iTunes up to 12.1.

Aug 13, 2015 9:45 AM in response to turingtest2by cerunnos, the reality is that iTunes 12 has had these problems on a number of fronts - syncing, airplay, start up, updates, etc. you name it, there's a point at which iTunes just crashes, hangs, or freezes. Apple cannot reasonably expect all users on Windows 7 to go through these steps because it hasn't seen fit to debug its software. I suggest that either Apple intends to ditch iTunes, or most likely, it's just bad management and programming on their end without sufficient testing on Windows platforms. Either way, it's irresponsible, and it's simply bad business.
As for me - iTunes 12 hangs when disconnecting from an old airport extreme, or when an album finishes playing. It might be bonjour related, not sure. But the point is that I ctrl-alt-del regularly because of iTunes, and that's just pathetic. It hasn't changed with 12.2, and the only solutions are tenuous and patronizing, because in aggregate they indicate a severe oversight in the development and stability of this piece of software for the OS of a substantial subset of iTunes users.
Fix it Apple.
