Disappointing experience at Stormfront Wimbledon today

My iPad battery is dischanging quickly, consulted the Apple website and I found that Apple and authorised service centres can replace the battery for £75. The list of service centres includes Stormfront Wimbledon (London-UK), handy as I live nearby. I went today but, sorry, they can't replace the battery... so why they're listed as an authorised centre? very disappointing having to go to Wimbledomn to be told, sorry, we can't help, go to an Apple store...

In return, I was offered a replacement iPad 2 (same model as mine), for £200... why on **** I should pay those guys £200 for an iPad replacement when I can have a new battery for £75??? Battery is the only fault, all the rest works perfectly...

Apple and Stormfront, disappointed about wrong directions on website and about rather strange replacement offer...

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
